Proferrin

Proferrin is a brand name for a specific type of iron supplement known as heme iron polypeptide. Heme iron is a form of iron that is derived from animal sources, particularly red blood cells, and is considered highly bioavailable and easily absorbed by the body.

Proferrin, or heme iron polypeptide, is often used as a dietary supplement to address iron deficiency or iron-deficiency anemia.
