Cancer Check Test

The Cancer Check Test is a multi-cancer early detection (MCED) blood test offered by Cancer Check Labs. It's designed to screen for more than 200 types and sub-types of solid tumor cancers using a simple blood sample. This test aims to help individuals detect cancer earlier, even in those without symptoms or a family history. Cancer risk increases for everyone as they age regardless of family history, with only around 10% of cancer risk being inherited.

Specifically, it searches for biomarkers—these are substances that cancer cells release into the blood, including fragments of DNA, RNA, proteins, or other molecules. When cancer develops, it often causes changes in the genetic material of cells, and these changes can be picked up in your blood before any symptoms appear. Because cancer is often easier to treat when found early, the goal of the Cancer Check Test is to catch potential signs of cancer before symptoms appear—when treatment is likely to be more effective. That said, it's still considered a supplemental tool to complement (not replace) standard cancer screenings like mammograms, colonoscopies, and Pap smears
